Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Allison Transmission Inc., a global leader in the production of automatic transmissions for military and special-purpose vehicles. The agreement marks another important step in the continued development of HSW S.A.’s competencies — in this case, in the design and production of modern gearboxes, one of the key components of powertrain systems for combat vehicles manufactured in Stalowa Wola.
“The signing of the MoA with Allison Transmission Inc. is another stage in strengthening national industrial capabilities,” emphasized the President of the Management Board of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. “Through cooperation with a global leader in the field of automatic transmissions, HSW gains access to the latest technologies that will be used in vehicles such as Borsuk and in future projects based on tracked and wheeled platforms,” the President added.
Allison Transmission Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions for medium- and heavy-duty applications, used in both civilian and military vehicles — from trucks to armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles. Allison transmissions are used in over 80 countries worldwide, including the armed forces of allied nations.
The signed agreement represents another example of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A.’s expanding capabilities in advanced powertrain systems and confirms the company’s key role in building Poland’s modern defense potential.
